So I have not just been lazy, I have had the shingles!!! By the way, I had heard it before, but I am telling you that the shingles are VERY Painful! I have been on a morphine pill for most of last week!! It started with what I thought was a backache last weekend. By the time I managed to get this all under control, I had been to the emergency room, had an X-ray, picked up 3 different pain killers, had an ultrasound on my gallbladder, had 9 attempts to begin an IV in my arm, had a cat scan, and finally slept for a week on heavy medications. Yesterday was one of the first days that I was able to leave my bed!!! I am feeling better I am happy to report, & almost all of the pain has gone away!

Now I am back into the scrambling to catch up side of things. Brian, Bridget & Kendra are all having big birthdays this month so I have some work to do! We are due to visit Chicago and a few other things if everything works out right. Also, it looks like I will be in GA in March and that things are about to starting picking up the pace in a major way

Wow, you POOR thing!!! Glad to hear things are getting better. I can't BELIEVE you got the shingles!!! I can't even imagine how awful it must be to be stuck with those. I've heard all those nasty rumors about the pain as well. Blah! I hope we talk soon so we can catch up. We miss you and can't wait to hear from you.

I am so sorry to hear about the dreaded Shingles! They are so painful. I am glad that the pain is subsiding for you. Those nurses in the ER don't know squat about starting IV's. You need Nurse Nicole to the rescue! Lafayette is starting up a roller derby and my friend is pushing me to join, YIKES! I need some serious roller skating practice and we need to have a another bonding night. When you are feeling better/in town give me a call, 314-974-0526.

Glad to hear you are feeling better! When I told a friend about you, she said that most pain killers don't touch the pain associated with shingles. Yikes! At least you were so drugged up you couldn't focus on the pain. :)
