Kids

I have been thinking a lot about kids lately. Probably because I have about 6 friends who are pregnant, have children, or are working on getting pregnant!! Kids must be amazing. The reason I say this is not because I am a huge fan of kids ( I like my friends kids) J but because of the amazing things they bring out in their parents. Unconditional Love. For the most part, we do not love unconditionally. It’s hard! I know there are many times that I really struggle with that concept. I love my friends, a LOT, but is it unconditional?? I try to make it that way, but it is hard when a friend hurts you, or you see a friend behaving badly, or you keep watching them make the same mistakes over and over. It takes a lot to love your friends under these circumstances. But it is possible. Parents do it everyday. I know I was a far stretch from a perfect child, and yet my parents always loved me, even if they didn’t always love the things I did. I guess I am gonna make a bigger effort to love without all the rules and expectations and see what happens. So for all of my friends who are parents or soon to be, this is dedicated to you! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

I LOVE the pictures of you and Gabe (and Matt) when you were younger! You all look exactly like you do now!!!! :) They are so cute! Of course my little munchkin is adorable too. :) I think you will hear parents say that they thought they knew what love was before they had a child. But once you have a child, you really understand what love is. It sounds cliche, but it is so true! It is a kind of love that you never doubt. I don't think you can create unconditional love. It just happens. It was instant the second I saw Nathan for the first time. Maybe even before I saw him. You are a good friend Gracie. All you can do is love your friends as much as you do now. You don't need to work on that. :)
