It is very tiny but it carries the world

Today I got a very small note. It was just a hand written note on a small piece of note pad. It was from a doctor I don’t see very often. I was shocked because I thought it was an appointment reminder, or some kind of bill. All it said was that she had heard about my re-occurrence and that she was thinking about me.

I was floored. Considering that I have to make an appointment with her that is 4 months out, I don’t even know how she had time to do this, but I am truly grateful. It really got me thinking about all the times I have said “I am just too busy” Too busy to pick up the phone, too busy to send or answer an email. The other thing it made me realize is how much the little things really mean. I have experienced it being sick, a phone call, or card it becomes a lifeline. I am going to really work on being less “busy” and making more of an effort! I know it won’t be perfect, but I really am going to try!!!

IN other exciting news, I had an appointment with my Oncologist here. Everything is still great and he told me that there are some new drugs on the market for people with my type of cancer!!! These drugs have shown to completely halt tumor growth!!! This means, if I ever have another re-occurrence (God Forbid) they can use these drugs to halt it in its tracks!!!! I am very excited about this and it is a relief to know that it can only get better from here!!!!!!!

So that is what is new around here, not much but it has been going well!! Take care of yourselves!!
