Sorry I haven’t written in awhile, I just haven’t had a chance to sit down and put my thoughts together. Gabe’s younger brother and sister have been visiting us this week and so I have been all over doing different things…. So once again I am playing catch up, but trust me dear readers, my life is relatively boring so this helps me cut it down into a more interesting version for you!!
Washington DC & Virginia were good. The only negative thing was that I managed to exhaust myself to the point that I couldn’t go to a Pink concert that my brother and I had planed for the end of the trip! That really sucked!! I did get to see the new additions to the Smithsonian, the Holocaust Museum and the Native American Museum they are both truly incredible and a must see for anyone going up there. Matthew lives in the city and it is a great location, but a little small. For this one bedroom in the basement he is paying over $1,000.00/month. Amazing what city life costs. When I lived in Atlanta I only paid $800 for my 1 BR, but it was a really good deal. I also got to see nurse Matt in action. We were at this restaurant one night and suddenly the man at the table next to us was feeling really bad and started to fall out of his chair. Of course they called 911, but before they got there my little brother was over there checking his vitals and helping as much as he could. Matt thinks the man may have had a stroke but he seemed to be ok when the paramedics took him off. It was impressive and I was really proud of him! I also got to spend some time in Virginia with the Montgomery’s, which was fun. They are like my second set of parents and I stayed in their guest bedroom and made great use of the giant projection screen they have. Not to mention they spoiled me cooking me breakfast and just being soooo nice!! It was a good trip but I was really ready to come home when the time came.
As I said, Tom & Shelia just came and spent a week here. We had a lot of fun but I may have committed a faux pas! Because I don’t have kids, I don’t really think like a parent. Well Shelia is 12, and she told me she wanted to cut & dye her hair. So I did. I didn’t even occur to me to call her mother BEFORE I did it, until after it was too late!! Oooops!!!!!! She didn’t call to cuss me out or anything, but I feel guilty about it, especially since I did the dye job myself…. Eeek! Oh well… she was bound to dye it sooner or later right? As always I will post the photos on my site. I am getting ready to go visit my best boyfriend Brandon this weekend but I wanted to catch yall up before I left town again!!
Take care of yourselves!!!!! I Love You!!!!! Xoxoxoxoxoxoxox *Gracie*
